Abstract
Evidence-Based Practice refers to a problem resolution tactic done by healthcare practitioners and that is aided through evaluation of immediate demands. It is usually inclined towards the best interest of the clients or patients; thereby patient-centered, while at the same time balancing with the code of ethics. Considerable evidence, patient’s inclinations and clinical skill should be synchronized to attain scientifically sound and acceptable clinical practices to the practitioners and patients. Current paper will dwell on discussing how evidence-based practice has been proved efficient in the global healthcare sector. It will be divided into four main sections. Section A will dwell on the author’s perspective about EBP. The second part will dwell on expounding on the importance of the tool. Part C gives a case study of a successful application of EBP by healthcare practitioners in Sweden. Lastly, part D, will give an overall concept about EBP while highlighting the main arguments in the paper. A case study of how the practice was embraced by healthcare practitioners in Sweden helped mitigate the rampant cases of diabetes among the aging population.
